Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your AEG Dishwasher.
Regular Cleaning
Ensure that the seals around the door, the detergent, and rinse aid dispensers are cleaned regularly with a damp cloth. This should be done every 3 months to maintain the appliance's efficiency.
Using the Right Detergents
Use only neutral detergents and avoid abrasive products, scouring pads, or solvents like acetone and trichloroethylene. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the correct amount of detergent, special salt, and rinse aid.
Water Softener Setting
Make sure the water softener is correctly adjusted to match the hardness of your water supply. This prevents mineral buildup that could affect the dishwasher's performance.
Filter Maintenance
Regularly clean the filter in the threaded hose fitting. A blocked filter can prevent water from entering the dishwasher and reduce its effectiveness.
Prolonged Non-Use Precautions
If the dishwasher won't be used for a while, unplug the appliance, turn off the water, leave the door ajar to prevent odors, and keep the interior clean.
